At LanCATster Cat Cafe, we’re more than just a cozy café—we’re a safe haven for rescue cats looking for their forever homes.
We rely on volunteers to help educate our visitors about our cats, assist with the care of the cats, and help maintain a healthy clean space for the cats. Each day, we have volunteers come to the cafe for two hours
Interested in volunteering with us?

Volunteers who are at least 16 years of age or older and able to work in Pennsylvania can apply through Columbia Animal Shelter using the link on this page

Volunteers must pass a background check and complete a mandatory training at the Cat Cafe

After training, volunteers can sign up for a "Volunteer Session" of at least two hours

Volunteers are asked to do the following tasks during a session: Greeting guests, answering questions about the Cat Cafe, supervising interactions between the guests and cats, attending the food/water/litter needs of the cats

All volunteers receive a free beverage for their session
Our mission wouldn’t be possible without the incredible work of Columbia Animal Shelter. They rescue, rehabilitate, and care for cats in need, giving them a second chance at life. Many of the adorable felines you meet at our café come from their loving care, and with your support, we can help them continue their lifesaving work.
How Your Donation Helps
